Prevalence of Urinary Tract Infection and Health Outcomes in Older Adults Undergoing Hip Surgery: A Prospective Study

Urinary tract infections are complications found mostly in older adults undergoing hip surgery. However, little is known about the impact of urinary on health at after post-hip fracture surgery, particularly Thailand. This prospective study investigated prevalence and their length stay, functional ability, re-admission, surgical site infections, in-hospital mortality. The participants were 120 surgery four tertiary care hospitals Bangkok, Instruments for collection data Demographic Data Questionnaire, Health Outcome Record Form—length hospital stays, mortality, Hip Disability Osteoarthritis Score. analyzed using descriptive statistics Firth’s logistic regression.
